Ususally when u run this build youll want to have a necro with [Mark of Pain] to blow stuff up.

this build is not set in stone. the main skills u want though are [Hundred Blades] [Sun and Moon Slash] [Whirlwind attack] and arguably [Flail]

Why use a terrible Rage of the Ntouka if you have Battle Rage?

This. Pair with another player using AP-MoP necro build.

battle rage doesn't have IAS

(though you could replace [[burst of aggression] and [[rush] with [[never rampage alone] and [[charm animal])

3 slots to get an IAS seem a bit too much... If you need one and don't like [[flail], which is ubber by the way, get [[Drunken master] with some booze.

And, if you are looking for something different, why not a hammer build?

[build prof=W/Ri name="Earth Shaker" Str=12+1 Ham=12+2][Flail][Whirlwind Attack][Earth Shaker][Crushing Blow][Crude Swing][/build]

Optionals:
[Enraging Charge]
[Body Blow]
[Flesh of my flesh]
[Distracting blow]
[Distracting strike]
[For great justice]
some pve-skill.

Then why use crappy [burst of aggression] in the first place? Besides, with BR you get much, much more attack skills.

Or just [drunken master].

Could someone please explain to me the purpose of [rage of the ntouka]? I've always thought it was just about the stupidest elite in the entire game. What is the purpose of gaining a few strikes of adrenaline if all your adrenaline skills are going to take FIVE MORE SECONDS to recharge?

Just in case the OP doesnt know AP-MoP means an Assassin's Promise Mark of Pain necro
this Ap-MoP build can be found in the how to play necromancer sticky(not actual name of sticky i beleive) obviously in the necro sub forums

bah fine... i'll chew it out for you.
Both rage of ntouka and burst of aggression are good because they are "on demand"... and make the rest of the bar "on demand", i.e. NOW, when you actually need it, and not after you closed distance without speed boost, built adren without IAS, forced NPC healer to preprot your target and took ton of damage.
Besides 5 seconds is nothing. It will take you longer to build it in the first place.

FYI RotN= [Rage of the Ntouka]
BoA= [Burst of Aggression]

but wont flail be "on demand" once u activate RotN?
if flail is at 13(12+1) or 14 (12+1+1) it will last 14 seconds. u then take the 5 sec from RotN and u will have 9 seconds to gain the 4 adrenaline to reactive it which should be more than enough time which means a constant 33% IAS where as in BoA u have 3 seconds(strength 13/14 = 9 seconds) of no 33% IAS which means less DPS. Another thing is RotN has a recharge of 15 sec meaning once BoA is done ull have 6 seconds(15sec-9sec from BoA) where u will have to gain adrenaline through just attacking at 0% IAS instead of RotN(this statement is assuming that RotN and BoA were activated one after the other) and by the time ur 6 seconds of gaining adrenaline by just attacks is over sicne RotN is now recharged you wont need RotN because ull probably have a good amount of adrenaline
With RotN the only downside to flail is the 33% slowdown

So, in simplier terms
when it comes to RotN (or anything IMO) [Flail]>[Burst of Aggression]
